Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film, for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. She speaks French, German, English and Romanian easily. Her mother played the violin as did her father, who is a an instructor at one of the top drama schools in Romania. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award during the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. She taught at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for the duration of four years. bAnamaria Marina is a Romanian actor, born to Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. As an actress from Romanian heritage, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the big screen in the television film of British Canadians Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Aside from her remarkable performance in her first film she will also remember her work in the Romanian Art Film 4 Months, 3 weeks and 2 days that earned her numerous accolades, among them that of the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She played an actress from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's documentary 4 luni3 two days (four months three weeks and two days) which was awarded The Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared as the child character in the film of Francis Ford Coppola, Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca made an appearance in the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014) in which she played Irma who was a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
