Awkwafina

American actor and musician Awkwafina began her career with hilarious songs that dealt with sexuality and racial identities with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She played the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was a teenager. At college, she was studying journalism and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. It wasn't until after graduating when she decided to turn her attention towards music. The last track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was released in the year 2015. She opted to pursue a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough role was in Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released In Fina We Trust.
